After a week in Spanish I've come to realize how blessed I am to be fluent in both Spanish and English. I see how much people struggle and assume that when I start my studies in French I will have the same difficulties. This week we learned how to say simple phrases to start a conversation. Bria y yo conocimos a Sharon y Connie que trabajan en la libreria en el Centro de Salas de clase. This made me start to think about the people learning but in the opposite way than my classmates, Spanish to English rather than English to Spanish, and I came across this article.

These young kids between the ages of 15 and 17 learned and "perfected" the English language in 3 months! I can only hope that I will have their audacity someday when trying to learn a different language. They are truly inspiring.

  1. Daniela, you are already way ahead of the game when it comes to learning languages! Trust me, you'll be able to pick up French and Italian no problemo.

  2. Creo que aprender un nuevo idioma es muy difĂcil. It's just not for me. I took several years in high school, and for the life of me can't recall hardly anything! Boy do I wish that I could though, it would be nice for sure.
